Pwyky (A Python Wiki)

Well, I thought dokuwiki was pretty small. Pwyky is a ~30KB single file wiki in Python. You can't beat that for size. Oh wait, you can. The sam author also has a minimal wiki at only 11 lines of Python. I am not sure how useable it is though.

K-meleon forums add chongqed blacklist

Spam anywhere bugs me, but especially when its done to a project I really like. I am a long time user of the K-Meleon browser. I hope using our blacklist helps keep their forums cleaner. We usually emphasis wiki and blog spam because that is where the majority of the problem was when we started, but since both are getting more protected I guess web spammers are going back to forums.

DokuWiki's BlackList

Today Manni noticed that DocuWiki's default blacklist is blacklist.chongqed.org. We were just discussing using DokuWiki. It sounds really good for a small wiki setup. I haven't been able to try it out yet, but I just installed PHP and plan to try it soon. By default its a very good looking wiki; being used to UseMod and a lot of other rather plain wikis this is a big change.

Wired: Googling the Bottom Line

Wired has a story about Google and the SEO business. Part of the article is about what happens when you use one of the blackhat SEO companies. Google banned one of them, Traffic-Power.com, and all their clients for link farms and hidden text. Former clients who moved to another SEO company took at least six months and a lot of cleanup before Google would let them back in.
